Alex Pritchard joined Norwich City from Spurs today, but only because of a traffic jam.
The attacking midfielder had been set for a move to Brighton. The fee and personal details were agreed and Pritchard was travelling down to the south coast, before delays on the M25 allowed Norwich to hijack the deal at the eleventh hour.
Here’s how fans of Brighton, Norwich and Tottenham reacted to the saga.

PB: There were delays on the M25, and it was during that delay another club jumped on the deal. #FansForum #BHAFC

I still remember Pritchard ripping us a new one playing for Brentford. Top player, great signing. #ncfc

#thfc Shame that Alex Pritchard never really got a chance at Spurs. His injury last summer probably cost him his chance to break through.

Pritchard should be given shirt number 25 to honour the beautiful stretch of tarmac that is the M25. #ncfc #bhafc

Doesn't matter how much you rate Pritchard, £8m for someone who couldn't even get on the bench at WBA last season is great busienss #coys

Give it two years I think we will re-sign Pritchard for more than we sold him for #COYS

Norwich have paid plenty for Pritchard, far more than deal agreed by Albion, which Spurs were prepared to still honour. His choice. #bhafc

Good to see Poch brave to let youth go like Pritchard if he feels they aren't good enough, Mason/Carroll you'd feel also at risk too.#THFC
