There is good news for Spurs before tomorrow’s Premier League opener against Everton, as Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that his squad have a full bill of health.

Jan Vertonghen was injured in Euro 2016 action for Belgium and was initially expected to miss the first few weeks of the season, but the central defender has made a quick recovery and is available for the trip to Goodison Park.

This news means that Tottenham have a fully fit squad of players to choose from, with only the suspended Mousa Dembele unavailable.

Everton are not so lucky. New signing Ashley Williams is definitely out as he’s short of fitness, while Seamus Coleman (ankle) and Romelu Lukaku (heel) are major doubts.

Their manager Ronald Koeman has admitted that his side are only 70% ready for the new season in terms of fitness. Lets hope that turns out to be a good omen in terms of Saturday’s result and that a fully fit Spurs can take full advantage.
