Reports claim that DeAndre Yedlin will join Newcastle shortly, after the Magpies beat off interest from Aston Villa.
Both of the Championship clubs are thought to have made £5m bids for Yedlin, but the USA international looks set to be on his way to Newcastle.
Yedlin proved himself capable of playing in the Premier League last season during a loan spell with Sunderland, in which he eventually became an important member of Sam Allardyce’s team.
Spurs, Newcastle, Villa and Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to give their contrasting views on the imminent transfer.

Newcastle & Villa making £5m bids for DeAndre Yedlin apparently. Not bad for someone we bought for £2.5m & has played one game for us. #COYS

Personally I think Yedlin is quite a good replacement for Janmaat, still young and will learn. For £4/5m you can't really complain. #NUFC
