Bild have linked Spurs with a move for Hakan Calhanoglu.
The German paper claim that Bayer Leverkusen would want £21.4m for the Turkish attacking midfielder and that Tottenham have spoken with the player’s representatives.
Calhanoglu came to prominence in the 2014-15 season, when he scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists. Last season he was less prolific, but still registered eight goals and 11 assists.
A versatile player able to play just behind the striker, on the flanks or in a deeper attacking midfield position, Calhanoglu is famed for his free-kick taking ability.
It’s fair to say that should he move to White Hart Lane that Calhanoglu would comfortably become the club’s most dangerous set-piece taker.
Watch his ten best ever free-kicks below. The number one selection against Borussia Dortmund is simply ridiculous.
Wow ! If we could sign Calhanoglu ,what a back up if Erikson is off colour or sold ?
The only problem might be that his old teamMate Son ,might convince him that it is not easy
at Spurs to hold down a first team place.
Ian sure Klopp must be interested after seeing him score from those free kicks against
his old team in the Bundersliga.
