The Mirror are reporting that Spurs are interested in signing attacking midfielder Isco from Real Madrid.
Isco was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City before he left Malaga for Real Madrid three years ago. Tottenham are apparently interested in taking Isco, who cost Madrid £25 million, on a season-long loan.
Bringing in the 24-year-old playmaker would represent a sensational swoop for Spurs, who have only acquired squad players so far in the current window rather than any certain starters.
Isco would surely start most games for Tottenham, but where would that leave Christian Eriksen? The Dane needs competition but it’s likely Isco would expect to start in the No. 10 position ahead of Eriksen, which could cause conflict.
Here’s how Spurs fans reacted to the story.
Not getting drawn to this Isco stuff after Gotze? absolutely no chance

I love believing in crazy transfer stories. Bring Isco Alarcón down to Spurs. What a massive signing that would be – even on a loan.

Chadli’s squad number is 22. Isco’s squad number is 22. Chadli going out on loan leaves 22 free for Isco to come on loan. YAY WE HAVE ISCO

Levy, just for once, could you spend some money and complete the Isco and N’koudou signings before deadline day. And give the wage they want

I would kiss Levy’s shiny bald head if Isco becomes our Van der Vaart on deadline day

I joked about Spurs making an enquiry for Isco a couple of weeks ago (wages not an issue, Real ideally want to loan him out). Even still..

Kane, Dele, Dier, Rose, Zaha, Isco… Levy saving those £££s on shirt letters.

Obviously a pipe dream but Isco would be unreal
