Tottenham signed winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou from Marseille on deadline day in a deal that saw striker Clinton N’Jie move the other way on a season-long loan.
N’Jie’s first season in England was interrupted by a number of niggling injuries. The striker only made a handful of appearances for Spurs and failed to score a single goal for the club.
After making his Marseille debut in a friendly against Standard Liege, N’Jie told the official Marseille website, in quotes relayed by Inside Futbol, he already has a good feeling about his new surroundings.
The Cameroon international said: “I feel very good with my new team-mates and I did even before the game.”
He added that an understanding with his new colleagues “will come with time,” something that didn’t seem to happen at White Hart Lane.
Of course, N’Jie has only departed on a loan deal, meaning he could return to Tottenham at the end of the season.
Whether he can coax Mauricio Pochettino into including him next year obviously depends on the kind of campaign he has in France with Marseille.
What do you think? Does N’Jie have a future at Spurs? Or is it too early to say?
Obviously too early to say, but id like to think his performances will decide that rather than a deal already being in place.
