As is so often the problem against smaller teams at White Hart Lane, Tottenham were in cruise control in the early stages against Gillingham without actually scoring.
There was plenty of slick passing and lots of shots, but Spurs simply couldn’t put the ball in the net.
That was until Christian Eriksen looked up and sent a stunning shot past the Gillingham goalkeeper half an hour in.
