Mauricio Pochettino looked unsurprisingly delighted as he gave his press conference following Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Manchester City.
An own goal from Aleksandar Kolarov and a strike from Dele Alli saw Spurs win all three points, in what Pochettino described as a “nearly perfect” performance.
Pochettino’s tactics were discussed at length, while also on the agenda was the row between Erik Lamela and Heung-Min Son regarding who should take the penalty that could have made it 3-0.
The manager decided to look on the incident positively, which was also his philosophy when quizzed over the timing of the international break.

Was not happy to see this behaviour from Lamela. Wouldn’t have been as bad if he had scored the penalty but having missed he should now never put himself in the same position ever again. Lamela has been working his socks off of late and this I appreciate. He has not been scoring as much as he should be and is still unpolished but his work rate is exceptional.
I don’t understand why the manager or the team captain don’t decide who takes a penalty.
Not understanding why Erikson was not the obvious choice as main penalty taker?
Lamela should have allowed Son to tale penalty
Son should of taken the penalty
Very selfish of lamela, sons been scoring and played as a striker he should have had the chance to score
