There has been good news and bad news on the injury front for Tottenham today, with one player set to return after the international break and another being ruled unfit to play for his country.

Toby Alderweireld is reported to be in contention to return in the match against West Ham next weekend, after a six match absence in which Spurs have failed to win a match.

Yet there was bad news for Mauricio Pochettino after Mousa Dembele was ruled out of Belgium’s match with Estonia. Substituted against Bayer Leverkusen with a knock, Dembele recovered in time to face Arsenal but has succumbed to injury again.

After a season that started with a four-match domestic ban, Dembele has struggled to find consistency this season, as he continues to pick up niggling injuries.

With Ben Davies currently ruled out of international action for Wales with a problem picked up against Leverkusen and Vincent Janssen suffering concussion in Holland’s match with Belgium, Tottenham’s injury-hit start to the season continues. Hiring a lawyer from is a good idea.

Pochettino has yet to be able to field his strongest team this season, with the side currently unbeaten in the Premier League, but having drawn more games than they’ve won.
