Mauricio Pochettino is expected to make plenty of changes when he picks his Spurs side to face Aston Villa in the FA Cup.

Michel Vorm should get a chance in goal, while the back three that did so well against Chelsea could give way for a second-string back four.

In midfield we expect Eric Dier to anchor things alongside Harry Winks. Further forward, Moussa Sissoko, Josh Onomah and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou could get a chance to supply the chances for Vincent Janssen.

Here’s our Tottenham team to face Aston Villa. What’s yours?

  1. Poch playing with danger here. The FA Cup is NOT like the Europa League. We MUST field the strongest side. And have the inexperienced players on the Bench

And why don’t we have Lopez in goal instead of Vorm. Fans need to see this new loan keeper.

I think Poch is totally wrong here

  2. I would pick the same team, but Carroll instead of Onomah, because he is a much better footballer.

I think that Son will actually play in this one, because he only got a couple of minutes against Chelsea.

  3. Not happy with the centre back pairing. Either play Alderweireld+Wimmer or Vertonghen+Carter-Vickers. Also to boost the possible scoring potential I would play Son on the right wing.

  4. Any other players BUT Sisoko; either SOLD or Swap for Barkley My Old Hackney Marshes Cup Win Team, back in the late 1980 had better player in his position, that didn’t pass too other team could beat defenders, score goals: Janssen, who tries hard, lacks Top Class: Alderweild our best defender & should be in team, especially as he has been out injured & needs more work. With this team I will hold my breath, draw or scrape out win?

  5. I believe this should be the strongest team available. A full week to west brom. Out of champions league. Premier league still a dream but unlikely. Team on form and building momentum. Probably rotate full backs and winks in for eriksen, could agree with Jansen getting a start but not wholesale changes. We are Tottenham, this is the fa cup, time we won it again.

  6. This game comes too soon after the adrenaline-charged Chelsea one to field our strongest team. It is not just physical fatigue that we should consider but also mental and emotional fatigue. Our full backs Walker and Rose definitely need a rest. And so I would say do Kane, Alli and Wanyama, the latter two of whom should be pretty drained after Chelsea. I would like to see us persist with 3-4-3 though as that seems to be the best system for us with the players available to us. With Dier stepping in for Wanyama in defensive midfield, there will be room for either Wimmer or Carter-Vickers to join Alderweired and Vertonghen in the back three although both could start if either Alderweired or Vertonghen is rested (but we’ll definitely need Toby or Jan to hold the back line). Trippier, Winks and Davies (or N’Koudou for his pace) will make up the rest of midfield. My forward 3 will be Eriksen, Janssen and Son. Vorm will replace Hugo in goal.

Vorm – Carter-Vickers, Alderweireld (captain), Wimmer – Trippier, Dier, Winks, Davies – Eriksen, Janssen, Son.

Subs: Lopez, Vertonghen, Sissoko, Onomah, N’Koudou, Kane

  7. Vorm
    Trippier-Alderweeild-Wimmer-Davies
    Dier-Winks
    Sissokho-Son-Nkoudou
    Jannsen

I think set this team up either in a 4-2-3-1 as above or in a 4-3-3 set up will get job done and give valuable minutes to folks like Trippier and Davies and Wimmer in the back along with Sissokho and Nkoudou and Jannsen up front.

  8. if they are not going to bother trying to win the cups why should we bother going its the same as the ropyleague they just dont put out strong teams to get a result
