Tottenham have made just two changes to the side that drew at Sunderland in midweek for Middlesbrough’s visit to White Hart Lane.
Hugo Lloris returns — he missed the Sunderland trip due to illness.
Danny Rose, who went off with a knee injury at the Stadium of Light, is replaced by Ben Davies at left back.
Elsewhere Mauricio Pochettino has selected the same players, meaning Spurs will set up with a back four.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to all the team news.

#thfc Looks like it will be the same set-up as at Sunderland, with Wanyama protecting Alderweireld & Dier as everyone else pushes forward.

Big chance for Ben Davies. Has to take it and show he is a capable back up to Rose. Massive game @SpursOfficial #THFC #COYS

@SpursOfficial the best of what we have available. A strong team. #coys

What I thought. Much better with 3 central defenders and wing-backs but with the injuries I get it. #COYS https://t.co/Z2qdNeVOGo

With our injuries that is still a decent side Poch has picked. Bench needs boosting up in the summer though. #COYS

#thfc It's a shame Poch has abandoned the 3ATB set-up while Vertonghen is out. Spurs are better with it. New CB needed.

Just an observation Gabbiadini 12 minutes to score from open play Jannsen it is now February! Nkoudou isnt really showing and Sissoko is a disappointment. Cant believe Onomah makes the bench as he has been very poor. Have they all been Mitchell’s recommendations. Draws are gking to cost us again
Poch will need to change to a back 3 lineup in the second half or even earlier if we can’t break the Middlesbrough defence down in the first half. We need Kane and Alli to be firing on all cylinders if we will to kill off teams down in the bottom half of the table especially those fighting for relegation. Why are we always in the back foot whenever we play teams away from home. Tonight, we need to control the tempo of the game and don’t allow them to have much possession on the ball. We need to treat every game from now onwards as a cup final or even more than a NLD if we will to stay close behind Chelsea to have any chance of pipping them come the end of the season. COYS if you are listening, we can’t afford to be complacent to teams who are fighting to stay in the PL.
