Mauricio Pochettino has selected a strong starting eleven for the first leg of Tottenham’s Europa League clash with Belgian side Gent, suggesting he will put out a weakened side at Fulham in the FA Cup on Sunday.
The Spurs boss has selected just about his strongest side available barring a couple of absentees. Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son are among the substitutes, meaning there are starts for Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko.
Notably, Vincent Janssen isn’t even on the bench.
Many Tottenham fans voiced their opinions on the team selection on Twitter. Most were pleased to see Pochettino taking the Europa League seriously. Here are the best of the tweets.

I like the 4-3-3. Good for Sissoko – his last few starts have been impressive (bar Wycombe). https://t.co/swrPoqWuGg

#thfc Interesting to see Wanyama, Dembele and Winks starting together. 4-3-3 or perhaps Winks/Dembele will play as a No10?

Mauricio Pochettino evidently wants to kill this tie in the first leg. #COYS

Happy with that team. Hopefully it doesn't mean they'll all be rested on Sunday though!

Good strong selection although slightly stumped on formation at this moment. Could be about 3 different options #COYS

A much stronger starting XI from Poch than I would have expected. Hope he takes the same approach towards Sunday too. Need a trophy.
