Tottenham travelled to Belgium confident they could get something against a much changed Gent side.
Mauricio Pochettio selected many of his first team regulars, but the entire side failed to live up to expectations in a drab first half that saw no goals.
Spurs were much better after the break and the opening goal seemed imminent. Harry Kane and Mousa Dembele both came close to bagging the first goal of the evening.
But it was Gent who opened the scoring after some slack defending resulted in a simple tap in for Jeremy Perbet.

i have watched our last 2 games I am very sorry to say every player should be fined two weeks wages with the money they earn they don’t deserve any.With people like most only earn 7£ a hour we would have shown more guts than any player in the last two games
