It was a significant day in the Premier League title race as Tottenham’s win at Burnley put them within seven points of leaders Chelsea, who lost to Crystal Palace at home.
After a nightmare first half for Spurs, seeing Victor Wanyama and Harry Winks suffer injuries, things calmed down after the break and the visitors cruised to victory thanks to goals from Eric Dier and substitute Heung-Min Son.
Chelsea took an early lead against Palace at Stamford Bridge, but Sam Allardyce’s side quickly struck back through Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke.
Here’s how the Tottenham fans reacted to the results on Twitter.
Great stuff from Pochettino today – tactical switch at HT won us the game. Alderweireld flawless, Dembele imperious after replacing Wanyama.

Excellent three points, vintage away performance. Spurs looking strong in second. Dier and Dembele in midfield immense. #COYS

Son proving why he's the perfect sub, always makes the difference coming off the bench, something he can't do starting matches. #COYS#THFC pic.twitter.com/AHAyYJQUQx

If I bump into Sam Allardyce this evening, I'm definitely offering to buy him a pint of wine.

With the number of injuries we've had this season, the position we are in with 9 games to go is incredible! Poch, you're a genius #COYS

excellent result today, great to see us capitalising on other teams dropping points ??

All a chasing team can do is keep striving, keep winning. The rest will look after itself. But that's a very good win from Spurs.

Superb 3pts considering injuries. Really thought we'd struggle. Not many teams leave Turf Moor with much. Great day results wise. #COYS

Brilliant result with only 10 men since Winks went off. Sissoko is a waste of space.

COYS!!
COYS indeed! Title race is back on now, and Crystal Palace and Sam Allardyce have done us a massive favour. Can’t get ahead of ourselves though, we must remain patient as fans.
Our injury list:
Lamela (out for season) (hip)
Rose, Kane, Winks (ligaments)
Wanyama (back)
Sissoko, Wimmer (cause they can’t play football)
That is a really big list, but I’m delighted to win the game. Now let’s have a look at Arsenal…
