If various reports are to be believed, Tottenham will be making moves for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha this summer.

Spurs tried to sign Zaha last August but Palace refused to sell. Mauricio Pochettino instead opted for Moussa Sissoko, and we all know how that turned out.

If some Tottenham fans were sceptical about Zaha, his excellent performance in Palace’s 3-0 Premier League win over Arsenal on Monday evening will have convinced a few of his credentials.

The 24-year-old ran rings around the Gunners at times, and laid on precise assists for the first two goals, one of which was scored by former Spurs winger Andros Townsend.

Zaha may lack the quality of the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen, but it’s hard not to think Tottenham would be even closer to Chelsea with the Ivory Coast international in the squad rather than Sissoko.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to Zaha’s display against Arsenal.
