Mauricio Pochettino has suggested Dele Alli could eventually become better than Barcelona star Neymar.
Alli, who turned 21 this week, has scored 16 Premier League goals so far this season. Pochettino has been praised for his man management of Alli, who sometimes struggles to control his temper on the pitch.
In an interview with beIN Sports, relayed by The Mirror, the Tottenham manager said: “I think Dele Alli has a personality completely different maybe to Neymar. I think he’s a special player too. I don’t know if he’s in this level yet but the potential will be like him or better.”
He added: “I think Dele is an unbelievable player, great player, still very young and his potential is massive and we’ll see what happens. He has the potential to improve a lot.”
Considering Alli’s current form, Spurs will be hoping interest from the European giants, such as Real Madrid, doesn’t intensify this summer.
