Mauricio Pochettino has voiced his disappointment at Dele Alli’s omission from the PFA player of the year shortlist.
Alli is only nominated for the young player of the year award, and the 21-year-old could take the prize home for the second successive season.
Harry Kane is up for the both the senior prize and the young player award, but Mauricio Pochettino believes Alli should join Kane on both lists.
Speaking in his post-Bournemouth press conference, Pochettino said: “In my opinion, yes, he deserves it [to be on both lists].
“Always the people want to see again in the second season if he can confirm what he showed last season.
“Not only did he confirm that, he’s improved all the aspects in his game. That means he’s clever, intelligent and still has potential to improve and learn.”
