Tottenham are one of three Premier League teams to make bids for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, according to the Spanish publication AS.
The story claims Real Madrid are mulling over offers from Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester United for Morata. Juventus, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also thought to be keen on the 24-year-old, as well as a number of Chinese clubs.
Morata is one of Europe’s most highly rated strikers but has struggled for game time during his two spells with the La Liga giants given the quality of the attacking players at the Bernabeu.
According to the report, Chelsea would be willing to pay £55 million to lure Morata to Stamford Bridge. On top of that, the Blues could afford to increase him £5 million yearly salary.
The striker has also made it clear in the past that he is keen to work with Antonio Conte in the future. With all of those factors in mind, I’d say it’s very unlikely we’ll be seeing Morata in a Tottenham shirt any time soon.
