Josh King has spoken out amid reports of Tottenham preparing a £15 million bid for the Bournemouth striker.
Yesterday we relayed a story from The Mirror that claimed Spurs had added King to their summer transfer shortlist.
The Norwegian has scored 15 goals in the Premier League so far this season. He has found the net 12 times since the turn of the year — only Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane have scored more league goals in 2017.
Asked about Tottenham’s reported interest by Norwegian outlet Nettavisen, King said: “This is the first time I’ve heard of this.”
He added: “I’m happy to be recognised, but I’m only focusing on the next three games.”
Spurs spent approximately £18 million on Vincent Janssen last summer. The Dutchman would be likely to leave the club if King were to arrive.
With King seemingly in demand, I expect this story to intensify as the season nears its end ahead of the summer transfer window.
