Bournemouth striker Josh King has suggested he will stay with the Cherries this summer despite interest from Tottenham.

Earlier this month we relayed reports claiming King is a £15 million target for Spurs this summer as Mauricio Pochettino aims to provide cover for Harry Kane up front.

But King doesn’t appear to be intent on a move, telling The Daily Star: “I cannot wait for next season to start. I have enjoyed being here from day one.

“Being noticed by other clubs is positive but my focus is 100 per cent here. This is the first season where I have scored goals like this. Next year I need to prove myself and do it all again.”

He added: “I set myself a target of 15 goals at the start of the season and have been building my confidence. Once you start scoring it builds.”

The Norwegian international netted his 16th league goal of the season against Burnley at the weekend. If Tottenham meet his valuation this summer, there’s a good chance his mindset will change.

  1. Better than Janssen…….Did u see him last season in Holland! He hasn’t hit the ground running and now he’s a bad player! Grow up u twat! Another armchair fan who hasn’t a clue.Janssen will come good, only a matter of time,he comes on when given a chance and runs his bollocks off 100% for the team, great player who needs to calm down and be more composed when chances come.

    • What a charming tosser you are o’casey, and your alta ego john. So I’ll sink to your leve ; you can’t compare the dutch league with the PL – what sort of a mindless moron are you?
So Janssen comes on regularly to replace Kane does he? Or presumably you know better than the gaffer? Stick to fifa.
