Tottenham are keeping tabs on Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, according to reports in Nigeria.
ESPN claims Everton and West Ham United are set to battle it out for Inheanacho, who wants to leave the Etihad after finding his first team chances limited under Pep Guardiola.
But reports in the striker’s native Nigeria suggest Spurs are monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation as they look to provide cover for first-choice striker Harry Kane.
Nigerian outlet Vanguard claims Barcelona have also sent scouts to watch Iheanacho, so it appears Tottenham have some serious competition.
The striker has started just three league games all season and has struggled for minutes since the signing of Gabriel Jesus in January.
Iheanacho is unlikely is to dethrone Jesus or Sergio Aguero any time soon. But arguably he’d have a similarly difficult task at Spurs.
Harry Kane is almost undroppable, while Vincent Janssen will probably be given another year to prove himself to Mauricio Pochettino. With that in mind, I simply can’t see Tottenham splashing the cash on Iheanacho.
If City want Walker then £20m plus Iheanacho would tempt spurs.
More likely player plus cash deal for walker
