Sporting Lisbon midfielder Adrien Silva has refused to comment on speculation linking him with a possible move to Tottenham this summer.

The 28-year-old, who is believed to be attracting interest from Spurs and Leicester City, is reportedly available for £26 million.

Silva very nearly joined Leicester last summer after winning Euro 2016 with Portugal, but the deal broke down at the last minute.

Reports in Portugal suggest the midfielder has been the subject of a couple of bids from Tottenham. The latest was thought to be around £21.5 million.

But Sporting are apparently refusing to let their star player go for anything under £26 million.

When asked about rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League, Silva cut a reporter short and said: “I am concentrating on doing our best for Portugal at the moment. I am only concerned in reaching another final. Full stop.”

Silva would add plenty of experience to Spurs’ young squad, but it’s difficult to see Daniel Levy spending £26 million on a 28-year-old.
