Manchester United are interested in signing Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho, who is reportedly being targeted by Tottenham.

Sancho is considered one of the brightest young talents in the country, but is yet to commit his future to Manchester City.

As a result, last week The Mirror and The Independent claimed that Spurs and Arsenal are keen to swoop for the 17-year-old. The Mirror then also touted Borussia Dortmund as contenders for the attacker’s signature.

Now, The Manchester Evening News reports Manchester United are keen on swooping for Sancho.

Manchester City rate Sancho so highly that they have apparently offered him a contract worth £30,000-a-week — an incredibly lucrative deal for a 17-year-old.

But the teenager is thought to be uncertain about his immediate first-team chances, leading to uncertainty surrounding his future.

He is yet to sign the new deal on the table and, as a result, was left out of Manchester City’s squad for the club’s pre-season trip to the USA.

If Sancho is as good as many are letting on, Tottenham would be wise to act quickly if they want to sign him.

    • He’d like to fulfil his potential and win trophies, not be at a stepping stone club to win nothing and wait to move to win titles – like every star player Spurs have ever had in the last half a century – from Hoddle to Linekar, from Gazza to Bale, from Sol Campbell to Kyle Walker. They were all a million miles away from a title at Spurs so had to leave! Kane & Alli will be next to leave to truly fulfil their careers. Jadon Sancho’s dad has never seen Spurs win a title FFS. The place is a graveyard for trophies.
