Davinson Sanchez has agreed terms on a five-year deal with Tottenham but the club is yet to settle on a fee with Ajax, according to reports in the Netherlands.

Yesterday we relayed reports suggesting Spurs are confident of wrapping up a deal for the Colombian centre-back by the end of the week.

Dutch outlet De Telegraaf claims Sanchez has now agreed personal terms with Tottenham.

There is a snag, however: Spurs have apparently offered £36 million for the the 21-year-old — Ajax are holding out for £46m.

Below you can watch Sanchez score a stunning overhead kick against AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie last season.

  1. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this latest update on the Sanchez saga is yet another load of made up bullshit. Sports journalists are by definition nothing more than a pack of professional liars, paid to stretch stories to breaking point and make it sound plausible. The Sun, Daily Star, Mirror and Express are past masters at it. You can also throw in the freebe Evening Standard into the equation. Sewer rats spring to mind.

  2. SUPER – RAY – Spot on mate – Always the same old SHIT – Where do they get the figures from – 36 but they want 46 – You wouldn’t even go over to Amsterdam and talk contracts with the player. Keep it up RAY – my kind of mate.
