Tottenham have announced the signing of Colombian centre-back Davinson Sanchez from Ajax on a six-year contract.
The deal is believed to be worth somewhere between €40m and €42m.
Until now, Spurs were the only Premier League club yet to make a signing in the summer transfer window.
But with Sanchez, Tottenham broken their transfer record to bring in highly-rated defender.
Below you can watch the 21-year-old score a stunning overhead kick against AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie last season.
On Twitter, Spurs fans were equal parts delighted and relieved then the deal was announced. Here are some of the best reactions.

It’s been a long summer, ladies and gents, but we’ve made it. A signing. A good one. Hopefully the first of many. Welcome Davinson Sanchez!

We have actually signed someone. I’m not talking to anyone for a week. I need time to come to terms with this.

#thfc Just shows how much Spurs are having to spend now to improve their squad and bring in players who can genuinely compete for places.

Great to get the deal over the line. If the Foyth deal goes through as well, it doesn’t look great for Carter-Vickers. https://t.co/uD54q6NkD0
