“Hopefully the first of many”: Twitter reacts as Spurs finally make first summer signing

Tottenham have announced the signing of Colombian centre-back Davinson Sanchez from Ajax on a six-year contract.

The deal is believed to be worth somewhere between €40m and €42m.

Until now, Spurs were the only Premier League club yet to make a signing in the summer transfer window.

But with Sanchez, Tottenham broken their transfer record to bring in highly-rated defender.

Below you can watch the 21-year-old score a stunning overhead kick against AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie last season.

On Twitter, Spurs fans were equal parts delighted and relieved then the deal was announced. Here are some of the best reactions.
