Inter Milan have opened talks to sign Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko, according to reports in Italy.
Italian outlet Calciomercato.com claims Inter directors Piero Ausilio and Walter Sabatini are both keen on signing Sissoko before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Inter have apparently enquired about acquiring the Frenchman on a season-long loan with an option to buy next summer.
The Serie A giants attempted to sign Sissoko last summer but opted for Joao Mario instead.
Spurs bought the midfielder for £30 million from Newcastle on deadline day last year, but the 28-year-old endured a difficult first season at the club.
Sissoko played the final 20 minutes of Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Burnley at the weekend.
