Tottenham were left frustrated after playing out a 0-0 draw with Swansea City on at Wembley.

It was a particularly frustrating result following the 3-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday, a win that appeared to banish Spurs’ Wembley hoodoo.

But Swansea came to defend and ended up leaving the national stadium with a hard fought point.

Spurs lacked the necessary intensity to break down Paul Clement’s side, but they did come close to breaking the deadlock in the second half when Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane both came close.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to the result and performance.

  1. This was a game tailor made for a ball playing forward to invade their box. Being able to play Marcus Edwards from the bench for the last 15 minutes would have been ideal. If he did not score or lay on a chance he certainly would have gained a penalty

  2. all reasons why we did not score on the swans ,biggest one i saw was as great a defender as toby alderwiereld is he actually cant cross a ball ,also its not whinging but mike dean has lost all usefulness ,if you couldnt see from what ever angle the aurier incident and point to the spot with surety you got no business refereeing at that level.
