Harry Kane was the obvious standout player in Tottenham’s 3-0 win over APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
But there was another Spurs player who caught the eye.
Harry Winks was excellent in the centre of midfield, dictating the pace of the game from deep areas and driving forward whenever possible.
The midfielder has been called up to the latest England under-21s squad, but he’s perhaps unlucky to miss out on a place in the senior group considering the likes of Jake Livermore and Fabian Delph are deemed good enough.
If the 21-year-old continues to progress, it will be a matter of time until Gareth Southgate takes notice.
