Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for Ben Davies after Tottenham’s 4-0 win at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

The Welshman scored Spurs’ second goal to keep up his impressive form at left wing-back.

“For me,” said Pochettino, “he is one of the best full-backs in the Premier League. The performance [at Huddersfield] was fantastic. OK, Harry Kane, but Ben was also one of the best on the pitch in defending and attacking. His energy is fantastic.”

“He’s worked so hard to get to this moment. He’s always been professional, and that is why the club are so proud of him.” (Quotes via the Telegraph.)

By the sound of things, Danny Rose may have a difficult time displacing Davies when he returns from injury.
