Tottenham could break the Premier League attendance record this weekend, according to ESPN.

The current record of 76,098 was set when Manchester United beat Blackburn 4-1 at Old Trafford in March 2007.

Spurs almost broke it in August when 73,587 fans watched the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at Wembley.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side face Bournemouth on Saturday, and ESPN believes the record could be broken.

Less than 70,000 people attended the draws against Burnley and Swansea – ESPN’s article claims club sources told them: “Attendances are often low in August and September due to holidays.”

It is unlikely the club record will be surpassed: 85,512 watched the 1-0 Champions League loss against Bayer Leverkusen last season.
