Barcelona closely watched Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane in Tottenham’s 1-1 Champions League draw with Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (via talkSPORT) claims Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez was in attendance at the Bernabeu on Tuesday to scout Eriksen and Kane.

Eriksen was linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer when it became clear Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho wasn’t for sale.

Kane is believed to be attracting interest from Real Madrid as a potential replacement for Karim Benzema.

For me, this is a bit of a nothing story. Eriksen and Kane are two of Europe’s most in-form players right now – the continent’s top clubs would foolish to ignore them, so of course they’ll be watching.

On top of that, Fernandez could have been at the Bernabeu for any number of reasons. Spurs fans needn’t worry for now.
