Luke Shaw is nearing the exit door at Manchester United after his relationship with Jose Mourinho “reached a new low”, according to The Times.
The former Southampton manager was playing his best football at his old club under Mauricio Pochettino, and there have been murmurings about a possible reunion.
Danny Rose’s situation at Tottenham is still a bit mysterious. The left-back gave a controversial interview back in August in which he appeared to criticise the club’s ambition in the transfer market.
He also suggested he could earn better money elsewhere, leading to countless stories linking him with a move to Manchester United.
Ben Davies has drastically improved during Rose’s nine-month spell on the sidelines with a knee injury, and it is now unclear who Pochettino will prefer for the remainder of the season.
If it’s Davies, perhaps Rose will seek a move to Manchester United next summer. And if that happens, it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that Shaw could move in the other direction.
Do you think Shaw would be a god replacement for Rose? Or does Rose still have a future at Spurs? Let us know in the comments.
I would swap rose for shaw in a heartbeat. I only want players who are 100% comitted to our great club. Alas I do not feel rose is that #walkermarktwo
