Tottenham have been in touch with the father of Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun over a potential move for the striker in January, according to reports in Turkey.

Numerous reports over the last couple of months have linked Spurs with Tosun, who is also believed to be a target for Crystal Palace and Newcastle.

Now, Turkish outlet Haberturk (via HITC) claims the 26-year-old’s father has told Tottenham his son is interested in moving to England.

Tosun has scored eight goals in 13 appearances in all competitions this term. He bagged a total of 24 last season.

Fernando Llorente is the only current back-up for Harry Kane up front, and the Spaniard is yet to score since joining in August.

I don’t think Spurs will sign anyone in January, but perhaps the club will target another striker next summer depending on Llorente’s success.
