Cameron Carter-Vickers is known for his defensive strength and solidity, but he looked more like a winger this weekend…
The Tottenham defender, who is currently on a season-long loan at high-flying Sheffield United, provided a brilliant assist for Leon Clarke’s equaliser in the Blades’ 4-1 win over Hull City in the Championship on Saturday.
Carter-Vickers overlapped a teammate on the right and produced a fine cutback for Clarke – the striker made no mistake from close range.

Sheffield United play three at the back. Not unlike Spurs, that gives the wide centre-backs the opportunity to roam forward and get involved in attacks.
With that in mind, it seems like Carter-Vickers is at the perfect club to develop his game.
Still learning his trade. Let’s not be mistaken, his future is at the heart of our defence. SUFC are doing a sterling job allowing this young man to reach his full potential
