When Harry Kane went down holding his knee in Tottenham’s win over Crystal Palace last weekend, Wembley held its breath.
Kane carried on through the game, but the striker pulled out of England’s squad to face Germany and Brazil in friendlies.
Many Spurs fans feared the striker would face a race to be fit for the North London derby, Spurs’ next match after the international break.
But Mauricio Pochettino has allayed those fears, revealing Tottenham’s talisman will return for the Arsenal clash.
“He received a kick in his knee but don’t worry, he will be available in the next game,” Pochettino said. (Via Sky Sports.)
Thank heavens for that. I assume Kane only pulled out of England duty as a precaution – it sounds like he’ll extra fresh for the derby, which is great news.
