Tottenham are interested in Watford attacker Richarlison, according to The Mirror.

The 20-year-old joined Watford from Brazilian side Fluminense in the summer and has scored four goals in 11 Premier League appearances so far.

Adrian Kajumba of The Mirror claims Spurs have regularly sent scouts to Watford games this term.

The Hornets spent £11.2 million to sign Richarlison, and the Brazilian is still in the first year of a five-year contract.

I can’t see Tottenham buying anyone in January, but there is some logic to this one.

Spurs are in need of different type of striker to Harry Kane. Fernando Llorente has certainly added experience, but someone like Richarlison would bring pace and versatility to the attack.

  1. He wouldn’t be back-up for Kane on current form. He’s missed a few sitters recently – not convinced he’s a striker anyway, more like a winger.
