Mauricio Pochettino has suggested the next couple of weeks will help Tottenham’s summer signings settle at the club.
Davinson Sanchez, Juan Foyth, Serge Aurier and Fernando Llorente all arrived late in the summer transfer window, giving them no time to find their feet as the season had already begun.
Spurs face a busy schedule from Boxing Day onwards, but before that there are week-long breaks in between matches against Manchester City, Burnley and Southampton.
“For the new players that arrived, [it’s important] to be more comfortable here, to know everything, to adapt their quality to the team,” said Pochettino. (Quotes via ESPN.)
“The first six months is always difficult for the new players because we don’t have much time to work — sometimes we work only through the video because we can’t do anything on the pitch. And it’s not the same.
“Just today [Tuesday] we were talking about next week — it will be key for us to work with the new players, introduce different concepts that we need to improve on the team.”
