Burnley defender James Tarkowski has been charged with violent conduct following a clash with Brighton striker Glenn Murray over the weekend, meaning he is likely to miss Burnley’s meeting with Tottenham on Saturday.
Tarkowski appeared to strike Murray in the chest with his arm in the 0-0 draw at the Amex Stadium. The referee didn’t see the incident at the time, so the 25-year-old has been charged retrospectively.
He’s almost certain to receive a three-game ban. That’s good news for Spurs, who travel to Turk Moor this weekend.
Tarkowski has started all 18 of Burnley’s Premier League matches so far this season – they have conceded just 12 goals in those 18 games.

Why should we be bothered if any Burnley player plays or not.
Because this player is clearly a significance in their success this season… did you read the post?
