Tottenham are interested in signing Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo, according to reports in Portugal.
Danny Rose has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, meaning a number of potential replacements are being touted by the media.
Portuguese outlet Jornal de Noticias (via talkSPORT) claims Spurs are keeping tabs on Grimaldo. The 22-year-old former Barcelona academy star is also wanted by Napoli.
The defender is apparently eager to leave Benfica in January. His current employers are believed to value him at around £25 million.
I can’t see Tottenham allowing Rose to leave in January, but next summer is a possibility.
We need a better defence Dier and Vertongen as a pair are not good enough. Sanchez and Alderwielrald and a world class central defender is needed. Dier and Vertongen should move into the central midfield as a defensive pair as a back up to Wanyama and winks. Dembele has had his time. Sell Rose maybe Alli if he does not improve but sell Lorente who has never cut it. Lamela is good and maybe bring Eriksen in to the number 10 role Son and Lamela out wide.
