Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic expects Tottenham target Ryan Sessegnon to remain at Craven Cottage in January, but admits the situation might be out of his control.

Sessegnon has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs, with some reports suggesting Mauricio Pochettino is set to make a £20 million move for the 17-year-old left-back.

But Jokanovic has insisted Fulham must hold on to their best players in next month’s transfer window.

“Yes, if we want to be competitive we must keep our important players,” Jokanovic told reporters when asked if he is confident Sessegnon will stay.

“All the questions are what the value of this player is, but myself, as a coach, I prefer to stay with the more important players for the competition that is ahead of us, but on the other side I can understand the business side too.

“In this moment, I am not thinking of being without him for the season, but it is not under my control.” (Quotes via Evening Standard.)
I think Spurs will only move for Sessgnon in January if Danny Rose leaves, and I can’t see that happening. But this is certainly a story to keep an eye on.
