Tottenham have been handed a double injury boost as Victor Wanyama is expected to return over the festive period while Toby Alderweireld has “commenced running work outdoors.”
The Wanyama news comes by way of David Hytner of The Guardian, who claims the midfielder will feature for the first time in fourth months in the very near future, although he has been ruled out of this weekend’s trip to Burnley.
As for Alderweireld, Spurs confirmed on Twitter that he has being doing outdoor work at the training ground. However, there is no suggestion the Belgian will return any sooner than February, so don’t get too excited.
