Mauricio Pochettino has compared Harry Kane’s connection to Tottenham with Francesco Totti’s kinship with AS Roma.
Totti spent his entire career at Roma despite being provided with opportunities to move elsewhere, and there have been suggestions Kane could do the same with Spurs.
In an interview with Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Pochettino claimed Kane success is down to his personal ties with Spurs.
“Harry’s most important talent is his desire to improve, and his ties with Tottenham are important. He reminds me of Totti with Roma,” said the Spurs boss.
Kane has previously expressed his ambition to be a one-club man so long as Tottenham keep progressing – let’s hope that happens.
