Contract talks ‘scheduled for this month’ as Spurs move to tie down key man

Tottenham have scheduled new contract talks with Toby Alderweireld for later this month, according to The Telegraph.

Last week, we relayed reports that claimed Spurs are set to offer new deals to both Alderweireld and Harry Kane.

Since then, a number of reputable journalists have contended that the club isn’t currently in contract talks with any player.

But The Telegraph now suggests Tottenham will sit down with Alderweireld at some point this month to offer the Belgian new improved terms.

The news comes in a report that claims Spurs will also offer a new deal to Dele Alli. The sooner these contracts are sorted, the better.
