Yesterday, we relayed reports suggesting Tottenham are closing in on the signing of young Stevenage defender Ben Wilmot.
But Football.London claims those reports are wide of the mark, although Spurs are very much interested in the 18-year-old.
Reports originally revealed Wilmot is close to joining Tottenham for £850,000.
However, reliable Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold contends no approach has been made yet.
Football.London also suggests Liverpool and Southampton remain keen on the teenager.
Wilmot broke into the Stevenage first team earlier this season and made his full league debut on Saturday.
It’s likely he will slot straight into the development squad if he does join Tottenham – he probably isn’t quite ready for the first team.
Besides, Wilmot will have a number of central defenders ahead of him in the pecking order, including Juan Foyth and the soon-to-return Toby Alderweireld, who is said to have had further contract talks with the club.
Cameron Carter-Vickers has also returned from his loan spell with Sheffield United.
No fucker will be pick those ugly scouse cunts over spurs.
