Chelsea are interested in signing Fernando Llorente this month, according to The Independent.

Llorente was linked with a move to Chelsea for a long time before Spurs hijacked the deal late in the summer transfer window – the Spaniard has scored only twice since then.

But The Independent claims Conte wants to go back in for Llorente before the end of the month.

Chelsea were eager to sign Andy Carroll but an ankle injury has put and end to that happening.

The report suggests Llorente would be cheaper than Carroll, but also notes Tottenham have been reluctant to do business with their London rivals over the last few years.

For me, there’s absolutely no way Spurs will sell Llorente to Chelsea even if Conte truly wants it to happen.
