Tottenham travel to the south coast to face Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday, and Mauricio Pochettino has a number of team selection decisions to make.
Last week, I suggested the Spurs boss could reunite a key midfield partnership from the end of last season – Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama – for the Everton clash.
Pochettino opted for Dembele over Wanyama and it paid off as Tottenham thrashed the Toffees 4-0 at Wembley.
With that in mind, I wouldn’t be surprised to see an unchanged line-up on Sunday.
Pochettino might be tempted to rotate his right backs, but I think Serge Aurier should stay in the team. He is beginning to properly settle and could do with the continuity.
Hugo Lloris is unwell and will be assessed before the weekend. Hopefully he is available to start.
Here’s our predicted XI to face Southampton – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments.
Yep, I’d go with that. Spurs win 4-0, Kane scores first goal (80-1 William Hill). COYS!
I would put in Wamy for Dier as he works his way back in against not-too-formidable opposition.
Why turn up the points are yours saints no fight no hope . gone are the days when we had a le tissier to get us out of trouble no with this manager and current team we are championship bound
Right choice will saints turn up
Let’s hope Dembele makes those forward runs like he did for the first 15 minutes against Everton. So frustrating when he doesn’t.
I think Wanyama over Dier.
Hugo needs to up his kicking game!
I agree except there was talk of Alderwiereld being back earlier than what was originally planned. Which might make Poch go for a back 3 instead.
