Tottenham are interested in signing Ajax winger David Neres if a deal for Bordeaux’s Malcom doesn’t materialise, according to reports in Brazil.

Spurs have been strongly linked with a move for Malcom, but Bordeaux have confirmed the winger won’t leave the Ligue 1 club this month.

Another Brazilian winger who Tottenham apparently have their eye on is PSG’s Lucas Moura. He is also said to be wanted by Arsenal and Napoli.

Neres, yet another Brazilian, is apparently Spurs’ “plan B” target if they fail to sign Malcom – that’s according to Goal Brazil.

The 20-year-old has scored eight goals and provided nine assists in 17 Eredivisie appearances for Ajax since joining from Sao Paulo last year.

He is clearly a big prospect, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see other top clubs from across Europe emerge as contenders to sign him.
