Neymar believes Paris Saint-Germain should not be selling Lucas Moura to Tottenham.

Moura is on the verge of joining Spurs from PSG in a £25 million deal, but his countryman thinks the Ligue 1 champions are making a mistake.

“I’m sad, because he’s a good friend, he’s a quality player who was rarely used,” Neymar said. (Quotes via Goal.)

“I think it’s very unfair. He is my brother in football. I wish him the best. Whatever the destination, I hope he will score a lot and he will return to the Brazilian national team.

“He’s not just a friend, he’s a very good guy. Here he could have been used a lot more but I’m not the owner of the team, not the owner of Paris. For me, he should never have left Paris.”

Moura scored 19 goals in all competitions last season but has largely been ignored this term following the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

By the sound of it, Neymar rates Moura very highly, which can only be a good thing.
