Christian Eriksen scored just ten seconds after kick-off in Tottenham’s 2-0 victory over Manchester United on Wednesday night.

Jan Vertonghen immediately played a long ball forward, Harry won his header, Dele Alli flicked the ball on and Christian Eriksen curled it past David De Gea from close range to give Spurs a ludicrously early lead.

Ledley King still holds the record for the fastest Premier League goal by about half a second.

Tottenham went on to win 2-0 thanks to a comical Phil Jones own goal. They are now just two points behind third placed Liverpool.
