Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana was sent off for after reacting angrily to a challenge by a Tottenham player in an under-23s clash.
Lallana was playing for Liverpool’s reserve side as he recovers from his latest injury.
Spurs midfielder George Marsh clattered into the back of the 29-year-old, who reacted furiously by grabbing the Tottenham youngster around the neck.
Lallana was shown a straight red, although his suspension won’t apply to first team matches.
It was a strange moment from an experienced player, but it will probably be forgotten about quite quickly.

I’ve seen Adam Lallana look cleaner and tidier. It’s a shame he’s let himself go.
So if Kane and Lamela pick up bans for supposed diving then surely Lallana will get banned for this sexual assault. ..lol
